Description:

The LeRoy Eying Center for Solid State Science (LE-CSSS) provides advanced capabilities for materials analysis and characterization.  The Center's instruments are available to the entire ASU research community and to academic, government and industrial users across the country.  Capabilities include high resolution electron microscopy; structural / chemical / optical / surface / thermal analysis; synthesis; and defect analysis.    The Center’s three laboratory units comprise more than forty analytical instruments plus facilities for sample preparation lab and data analysis.  Our facilities are supported by a dedicated staff with a commitment to student / client engagement and a 40-year legacy of training users on our instruments.
