Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR)

Resting metabolic rate measured by gas analysis (Oxycon Mobile Unit).

Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) and body composition

Thumb DXA scanning is available in conjunction with IRB approved research studies. A certified Radiology Technician is on staff to run the GE iDXA scanner. Print out of data contains bone mineral density and body composition (fat, muscle and estimated visceral fat) data.

Exercise Testing

Submax and max exercise testing available. Contact us to discuss actual measurements required and rates.

Flow Mediated Dilation

A non-invasive measurement of flow mediated dilation in the forearm by ultrasound method to determine vascular endothelial function.

Non-invasive arterial testing (PWA, PWV)

Pulse wave analysis and pulse wave velocity measurement are available, each charged separately.

Non-invasive hemodynamics

Using the Physioflow patented Signal-Morphology Impedance Cardiology (SM-ICG™), non invasive hemodynamic measurements can be obtained. Physioflow provide continuous, accurate, reproducible and sensitive measurements of cardiac output and other parameters.

Phlebotomy Services

Phlebotomy is available in conjunction with IRB approved protocols.

Sample Processing

Processing of blood samples after phlebotomy includes, centrifugation and sample aliquoting for up to 6 blood tubes. Temporary storage is available in -80 freezer until samples can be moved to investigartor's facility.
