Thumb The Bruker 850 MHz spectrometer is equipped with a 5 mm H&F-C/N-D TCI Cryoprobe, a 1.7 mm H-C/N-D TCI Cryoprobe, and 1.3 mm Ultrafast HX MAS probe. This instrument is equipped for liquids and solids. The instrument is ideally suited for the study of complex biomolecules.

CHN Elemental Analysis - PE2400, Facility:CLAS Goldwater Environmental Laboratory

Thumb The PE 2400 is a conventional elemental analyzer. It operates by flash combustion of the specimen encapsulated in tin cups or disks whereby the specimen is completely combusted at a temperature of 1760 C. The resulting gases are chemically scrubbed of the halogens (and of sulfur in the CHN mode) and are separated in a GC column. Detection is conducted by a thermal conductivity detector (TCD). Total C, H, and N are calculated with a precision of 0.1g. Element ratios are more significant since they minimize instrument error. Molar element ratios may be reliably reported for up to three decimal places.

Zeiss LSM 700 Confocal Microscope, Facility:Adaptive Intelligent Materials & Systems (AIMS) Center

The equipment consists of two laser channels (405 nm and 488 nm) and is also capable of performing optical microscopy using fluorescent, bright field, and dark field settings.
